We began our search for a new home early April of 2010. Since I am in the mortgage industry I believed that there was no better time than now to find the home of our dreams while rates were at all time lows and prices had become far for attractive. My thoughts were that we could find a steal in this market but if we were going to make such a huge investment, it had to be the perfect place to call home.
My realtor, Benjamin Hemmert, began showing us houses and it seemed that the more we looked, the more we realized that there weren’t really any “steals” out there. I refused to settle for anything less than the perfect house for the perfect price. God bless our realtor Ben for such patience with us. In a span of probably 4 months, Ben took the time to schedule and take us to probably over 100 different homes. I am in sales so I know that internally he had to be screaming at me for all the work but the smile never left his face and he was more than amazing. We had to keep going up in price range because the options we wanted couldn’t be found in the range we started at. We ended up looking at homes that were over $100,000 of what I initially wanted to stay under! We still couldn’t find exactly what we wanted and I was getting scared of the prices we were now contemplating. As the exhausting and frustrating search to find our dream home continued, I began to lose hope. Realizing this, Ben finally suggested we speak to 3 Pillar because of their great reputation and look into the options of a new build.
My initial thoughts were always against new construction because I had always thought it would cost so much more and also thought that obtaining a construction loan would be more difficult. I soon realized that I was completely wrong and a new build was the best option all along. .
In my initial meeting with Zenios, he showed me how I didn’t have to settle and we can help design the dream house that we wanted. Every house we looked at previously had at least 1 or 2 flaws that we couldn’t get past but we saw a lot of things we loved. Zenios listened to everything we said and found a way for us to put all of the things we loved into the house of our dreams that we could afford! The crazy thing is that it was way under the price range that we were looking at currently!
There are very few times that I have ever met someone who from the start, exceeded expectations so greatly that I would strongly recommend to others. Zenios truly wanted us to get this house of our dreams at the price range we needed to be in. I never felt like I was being “sold” or receiving a sales pitch but rather as if Zenios and I were on the same team putting our heads together to reach the same goal. From start to finish the 3 Pillar staff was top notch. They always went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied and well taken care of. Billy was the best project manager that you could ask for and he was always timely in his responses and very professional. Emily is a work horse and is another true asset to 3 Pillar as well.
My experience was so fantastic that I wanted to make sure others knew about it. I remember how the home shopping process felt and if you choose 3 Pillar you should know that you are in good hands with a company that really cares. Zenios and Benjamin Hemmert have to be 2 of the most pleasant people that I have ever met in my life. They both are always smiling and seem to always be in a great mood. People like that are hard to find and these are the people I want to surround myself around in hopes that a little of that can rub off on me. 3 Pillar was 10 out of 10 in every aspect of the process from quality to price as well as service.
I want to finish by sincerely thanking Benjamin Hemmert, 3 Pillar and Zenios. This was the best result that we could have imagined and I have never experienced such excellent service in my life. If I ever outgrow this home or choose to downsize, I will build my next home with 3 Pillar again.
