Loan Application Checklist

When completing a loan application, a little preparation can go a long way. Your lending agent may request the following information:

  • Signed purchase agreement
  • W-2's and 1040's with all schedules for the past two years.
  • Name, address, and zip code of employer for past two years.
  • Name, address and zip code of residence for past two years.
  • Name, address, zip code and account numbers, balances and payments for:
    • Checking and savings account, money market funds, and any other cash assets
    • Any loans (mortgage, auto)
    • Credit cards
  • One month of recent paycheck stubs
  • Name and telephone number of homeowners insurance agent.
  • Social security number
  • If self employed, copies of complete tax returns (personal and corporate) for the past two years and a current profit and loss statement and current balance sheet.
  • Copy of divorce decree and separation agreement, if applicable.

Additional requirements for VA Loans

  • Certificate of Eligibility
  • Name, address and zip code of nearest living relative
